Gym Flooring Questions, Answered
The questions gym owners, fit-out contractors and equipment buyers ask us most — answered straight.
How thick should gym flooring be?
It depends on what lands on it. 3-6 mm covers cardio and stretching. 15-25 mm handles machine areas and light dumbbells. 30-50 mm belongs under free weights and lifting platforms where loaded bars drop. Most commercial gyms mix thicknesses by zone rather than buying one thickness for everything.
Rolls or tiles — which should I choose?
Rolls win for large open areas (cardio decks, functional floors): fewer seams, faster laying, lower cost per m². Tiles win in strength zones: modular replacement, no glue, zone-by-zone thickness. Many gyms use both.
Does rubber gym flooring reduce noise?
Yes — impact noise from dropped weights drops dramatically versus bare concrete, which is why apartments, hotels and mixed-use buildings often require it. It won't silence sound completely, but it turns a bang into a thud.
How do I clean rubber gym flooring?
Daily dry mop or vacuum, weekly damp mop with neutral pH detergent. Skip solvents, wax and pressure washers — they degrade rubber and make surfaces slippery.
What is your minimum order?
500 m² per SKU for custom colors and OEM; standard colors can start smaller for home-gym and studio orders. Mixed-SKU orders are welcome.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Yes — sample tiles and color chips ship worldwide, usually within a week.
How long does production and shipping take?
Stocked colors: 7-15 days production plus sea freight. Custom colors add about a week for sample approval.
Do you make our brand's color and packaging?
Yes — 147 standard EPDM blends plus custom color matching to your logo or Pantone reference, and private-label packaging from 500 m².
